We are a family-owned Irish brand, born from a simple idea: that the things we choose to surround ourselves with can hold a little more meaning.

The idea that became just moss was talked about for some time before it began to take shape. One day, during a walk through the forests around Dublin, three members of our family found themselves still talking about it. Somewhere along that walk, the name, the feeling, and the beginnings of what just moss would become came together. The name was inspired by the quiet variety and unexpected beauty of the moss growing along the trees around us, and the colours of just moss were taken directly from a photograph captured that day.

Perhaps that is part of what the name still means to us. Moss can suggest many things: nature, patience, simplicity, resilience, quiet beauty, or something easily overlooked until you stop to notice it. It can mean something entirely different to someone else. We rather like that. At just moss, we leave room for discovery, for curiosity, and for each person to find their own connection and meaning in what they discover here.

We carefully curate an ever-changing collection of homeware and décor, pieces for creative studios and workspaces, and curiosities that are a little harder to come across in everyday shops. Many are handcrafted. Across the collection, we look for beautiful design, quality materials and experienced craftsmanship, while seeking out the people behind the pieces: artists, artisans, makers and small independent businesses who care deeply about what they create and how they create it.

We are proudly focused on Europe. Every product we offer is sourced from an artist, artisan, small business or independent company based within the European Union. From our warehouse in Germany, we bring these carefully chosen pieces together in one place, creating a collection that feels considered, varied and always open to something new.

A few times each year, we take that relationship a step further by partnering with one of the makers and businesses we admire to create a limited-edition or exclusive piece, made by them and available through just moss. These collaborations give us the opportunity to introduce their work to a wider audience across the EU, while supporting the people behind the products and bringing further attention to their craft, creativity and individuality.

The choices behind our collection matter to us. We look for materials, craftsmanship, packaging and production choices that reflect care and consideration, including thoughtful approaches to the use of plastic and other unnecessary materials.
