Alaska Paper Model

Explore a world of ice, snow and adventure with the Alaska Paper Model, a creative 3D kit that takes children on a hands-on journey through an Arctic-inspired landscape. Combining colouring, construction and imaginative play, it is a fun way to discover how paper can be transformed into an entire miniature environment.

The Alaska kit includes an ice floe, igloo, flag, crawler, snowmobile, kayak, two sleeping bags and two pairs of skis. With a varied collection of vehicles, structures and outdoor elements, the finished model offers plenty for children to colour, assemble and bring into their own stories.

Every piece is pre-cut and pre-folded, so the kit can be assembled without scissors or other specialist tools. Children can begin by adding their own creative style with pencils, pens, markers or paint, before moving on to the construction stage using the simple illustrated instructions.

The activity encourages patience, concentration, attention to detail and creativity, while helping children explore volume, shape and spatial relationships through hands-on construction.   2. Pre-assemble the model – Before completing the final assembly, loosely assemble the pieces without securing them. This helps you understand how the model will look in its finished three-dimensional form.
  3. Assemble the model – The pieces are pre-cut and pre-folded, so no scissors are required. Use the notches and self-adhesive pads included in the kit to secure the model. Younger children may benefit from a little help with the more detailed parts.
  4. Reinforce if desired – For a stronger and more durable finished model, small dots of gel glue can be added at key points during assembly.
  5. Create and play – Once complete, use the model for display, imaginative play and storytelling. Create your own characters and stories within your miniature world.
